Evelyn Breedon, LMSW

Welcome!

I am a licensed master social worker supervised by Donna Del Bello, LCSW-S. I practice neuro-affirming therapy.

I became interested in social work and the therapy field after a social worker recognized my own neurodivergencies which set me on the path to finally start healing my own trauma and mental health. With a background in advocacy in the non-profit field, I have seen how a combination of real life stressors such as racism and academia, for example, can impact neurodivergencies and other mental health issues. Neurodivergencies such as Autism and ADHD tend to affect children at an early age. If left untreated this can lead to “masking”  and other mental health issues such as depression. However, children and teenagers have the ability to not only learn more about themselves, but to use accommodation and skills to live as a healthy neurodivergent person. Therapists help access the tools and resources needed in order to heal and move towards a healthy future.

I provide a non-judgemental space to explore healthy coping strategies to promote mental wellness, without sacrificing individual personality for society’s view of a “healthy” person. In therapy I can take a directive or non-directive approach, depending on individual needs. I want to get to know you as a person and work on goals that benefit your ideal future. It is not uncommon that we may need to work through outside influences that may have negatively impacted your view of self. Healing is possible.
